Frequently Asked Questions
How does the watermark removal work?
The tool locates the fixed bottom-right watermark region, samples the background colors from adjacent pixels, and fills the watermark area with the interpolated background. This works perfectly for the uniform or gradient backgrounds typical of NotebookLM slides.
Is this tool safe and private?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser using the Canvas API. No data is ever sent to a server. Your images and PDFs remain entirely on your device.
Will the PDF output be searchable?
The output PDF is image-based (each page becomes a JPEG image). Text will not be selectable or searchable in the output. This is a tradeoff of the purely client-side approach, but is suitable for sharing and presentation use cases.
What if my image has a complex background behind the watermark?
The tool uses pixel sampling from all four sides of the watermark area to reconstruct the background. It works best with solid or gradient backgrounds. Images with complex patterns behind the watermark may show minor artifacts.
Is there a file size or page count limit?
Files up to 50MB are supported. For PDFs, there is no hard page limit, but larger files will take longer to process since each page is rendered and processed individually in the browser.
